She moved to US with her husband 3 months ago, after her wedding. Now if she went back to her parents they will know everything she has been hiding from them, that she doesn't want them to know so early. What are the things she has been hiding? What if her parents get to know them? Read the interesting story of Shweta Menon.

Plot:-  Shweta, who had been working in the Mexican cafe without a legal permit was all shuddered when she saw a policeman as her first customer that day. But later she was relieved when she got to know that he was Julie's grandson. Julie was the owner of the cafe. A few days later she got the news from her mom that her brother, Simbhu, was getting married at the end of the year to his girlfriend Lekha.

She was not very much enthusiast about the wedding as she didn't wanted to go back India, because then she would have to tell her parents that she is not living with Raj, her husband for past few days.

She tried to convince them to postpone the wedding but that couldn't happen. Later she discovered that she had left her passport to Raj's house when she ran away. And she doesn't wanted to go to that geezer again. She went there secretly but didn't find it, as Raj hid it. Then she took help of Pete, Julie's grandson, to threaten him and got her passport back.

Mohan, her sister Neha's husband arranged for her tickets. Max his colleague and friend from the cafe insisted to join her to the wedding as he has always wanted to see a real indian wedding as he was all fascinated by watching them in movies.

She was anxious that if her father called Raj to invite him he will tell them everything, but her father couldn't contact to Raj due to some strange reason.

As she reached her home in India, her father was furious to see Max with her. When he got to know about Shweta and Raj not living together he was left fuming. But since the wedding was approaching Shweta's topic was off the table for a while, though her father never missed to remind her that she has to return to him.

At the wedding she met Niru, her brother's childhood friend. It was then when she realised that she has feelings for him. Niru and Shweta had a history but she had never imagined herself with him.

But out of nowhere Raj showed up there and threatened Shweta's father that he owes him something as he had helped him in past.

What is the thing that her father's hiding?
What's the reason that Shweta left Raj?
Read the joueny of a helpless Shweta Menon, growing into self-dependent, self-loving lady.

Conclusion:- Sometimes it's okay to keep your happiness on your priority list. Sometimes it's okay not to trust life and take control of your life in your hands. This will be the summary of all i have learnt from Shweta's story.

It was tough for her to leave her husband and start everything again on her own but she made herself do that. Even though she was forced by her father to go back to him, she was stiff about her decision.

Sometimes it's important for the parents to realise that they cannot be always right. Sometimes descion they made can be fatal for their children. Sometimes it's important to listen to your child, it's necessary to understand what they are going through. The one thing that parents don't realise are things always doesn't happen the way they had experienced it. There are thousands of more possibilities. So their way of solving the particular problem can be wrong sometimes.

Shweta's mother wanted to help her daughter but she couldn't as going against your husband is not considered as a thing for Indian women. Though Shweta's mother was aware of the fact that something was bothering her husband that he has been hiding from everyone. It was very difficult for her to maintain the balance between her children and her husband.

On the other hand Shweta's siblings were always supportive to her from the beginning.

Shweta's father was too much involved in being a father that he forgot that his children are grown ups now and they know what's right and what's not. In order to fulfill his duties as a father he pushed his own daughter to a maniac.

The description of the big fat Indian wedding will definitely compell you to relate one of your experiences.

The fights between Neha and her husband portray a typical married couple.

The romanticism between Simbhu and Lekha will remind you of newly wed.

The charm in Shweta and Niru displays the warmth of new love.

Each character tells a different story. A different problem, different ways to solve them, but still interconnected to eachother

The way Sudha Nair had written the story is really magnificent. I really enjoyed reading the book.
